Comfortable walk, suitable for all ages. Cultural and historical highlight: Maria Schray pilgrimage church.
The pilgrimage to Maria Schray has a very long tradition. The oldest existing pilgrimage report records the year 1464, when two Cistercian nuns from Wald Abbey came to Maria Schray to pray for their imprisoned brother Hans von Reischach. In 1632, the church was burned down by the Swedes. The legend of the "Mother of God Oak" in Neidlingwald probably dates back to this incident.Visit the two places of pilgrimage yourself and combine this with a leisurely walk through one of Pfullendorf's largest wooded areas.
