We suggest the Berggasthof Höchsten as a starting point, which invites you to stop off at the end of the tour. If the parking lot is overcrowded, which can happen all year round on particularly beautiful weekends, the Illmensee lake, a good 100 m below, is a good place to stop for refreshments or a dip in the water.
