Buckelestour

The name "Buckelestour" came about during the preparations for a planned cycle tour that was originally to be undertaken with children. The route selection kept coming to a standstill because there was "too steep a hump" in the landscape between the start and finish.

The Hohenlohe native uses the term "hump" to refer to a topographical elevation that is higher than a hill, but still not quite the size of a mountain. has the dimensions of a mountain. It offers a beautiful overview of the topography of the Hohenlohe landscape.

The tour can be started at any point along the route. From the Kocher Valley near Künzelsau, for example, it goes to Kupferzell and steeply up to Waldenburg, on the balcony of Hohenlohe. After the effort, the view of the Hohenlohe plain is a reward. Via the wine-growing communities of Eschelbach and Michelbach am Wald, you reach Pfedelbach and Öhringen. After the strenuous discovery tour on the first day, hosts invite you to enjoy culinary delights from Hohenlohe kitchens and cellars.From Öhringen, the route returns to the Kocher Valley via Zweiflingen with the renowned Wald & Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe. The shortest route between the rivers continues into the Jagsttal valley to Schöntal. Here you can follow in the footsteps of Götz von Berlichingen to Krautheim. The route continues along the vineyards to Dörzbach and over the "Buckel" to Ingelfingen back to the starting point of the tour.
