EP4 - Stadtbahnwandern Eppingen-Sulzfeld

From Eppingen train station, the hike leads past numerous vantage points to the stone-cutting village of Mühlbach and on to Ravensburg Castle and the destination of Sulzfeld train station.from the starting point, Eppingen train station, the route first heads towards Hotel-Restaurant Villa Waldeck. On the way there you can enjoy a great view of Eppingen. Once there, you can stop for a bite to eat or a refreshment. The trail continues to the Jägersee lake. It is a lake surrounded by forest at the foot of the Ottilienberg. This is also the location of the Waldfühlpfad. This was created in 2007 on the occasion of the Baden-Württemberg Heritage Days. The Bohlenpfad forms the end of the Waldfühlpfad. It allows you to walk through this marshy area. It is particularly beautiful here in spring when the wild garlic is in bloom.
On the way to Mühlbach, you also hike through a beautiful area. You pass the 7 Brothers. This is a rare maple tree with seven trunks. You can also enjoy a wonderful view of Mühlbach. The so-called Schlangenweg winds along nearby. This is an old path that leads up to the Mühlbach quarries. You can cool off at the Mühlbacher See lake. It is a family-friendly bathing lake with a children's playground and a catered kiosk. If you get thirsty on the hike, the spring that appears on your way after Mühlbacher See is just the thing. Here you can drink cool natural spring water.
On the way to and near the vineyards, you can enjoy wonderful views over the vineyard landscape towards Sulzfeld and the Stromberg with Sternenfels. There is a lovely barbecue area and seating at the Efeldrichhütte. Another highlight on this hike is Ravensburg Castle. A beautiful path leads up to it. After passing it, the path leads towards Sulzfeld train station. This is where the hike ends. You can then take the train back to Eppingen.
