Exciting natural and cultural landscape in the Enz valley. The hike leads through the magnificent area of wine and rock between Vaihingen and Mühlacker.
In the south, the Stromberg is bordered by the Enz valley. While the gentle, rounded landscape forms of the Keuperbergland predominate in the Stromberg, the Enz Valley between Mühlacker and Vaihingen is a rather rugged valley cut into the shell limestone. Here you can experience the creative interplay of natural forces and sunlit rock. The Enztschleife near Mühlhausen is a special feature of the landscape. Here, the Enz has cut up to 80 m deep into the hard shell limestone layers. The slopes are terraced and have been planted with vines for over 900 years. The "Enzblick" offers a particularly beautiful view of the landscape. The unique historic terraced vineyards of the Roßwager Halde, which surround the old town center adorned with half-timbered houses like an amphitheater, would be in a bad way if there were no winegrowers' cooperative in Vaihingen-Roßwag. The Rosswag-Mühlhausen cooperative winery is committed to preserving this extraordinary cultural landscape. Hiking in the rock terraces high above Rosswag and Mühlhausen is hiking in the footsteps of wine.
