Circular hiking trail "Plauer Werder

The tour around the idyllic island "Plauer Werder" promises a lot of nature and a great view of Lake Plauer. Here you can experience the third largest lake in MV up close from the shore.

The island "Plauer Werder" juts far into the northern part of Lake Plauer. Especially in spring and in autumn when the leaves change color, it is beautiful here. The path has very few inclines and again and again small gaps can be found in the forest or on the shore zone, which allow a view and partly even 180° panoramic view of the lake. Numerous animals and plants find an ideal habitat here. More than 60 different species of breeding birds have been recorded here at Lake Plauer See. Lake Plauer See covers an area of about 38 km² and offers excellent conditions for a variety of activities such as swimming, fishing, sailing, surfing, shipping, camping, diving, hiking as well as cycling.
