Neckarschleifen-Steillagenrunden: Kapellenbergrunde Kirchheim

Adventure trail through the terraced vineyards of Kirchheim a.N. on partly narrow, unsurfaced paths and vineyard terraces - along the spectacular Neckar loop, through the historic town center of Kirchheim and along the banks of the Neckar.

The Kapellenberg, situated on a narrow bend of the Neckar, is one of the steepest vineyards in the "Ländle" and has always been the landmark of the municipality of Kirchheim a.N. The Kapellenbergrunde takes you over staggered paths and trails through the middle of the vineyard terraces of the steep slope on the Neckar loop. At the Kirchheim wine terrace, you can take a break with a magnificent view over the Neckar valley (wine is served on Sundays). A narrow footpath on the Fronberg, Kirchheim's second steep vineyard site, offers wonderful views of the terraces, dry stone walls and staggered vineyards.

The Kapellenbergrunde takes you along terraces and paths through the vineyard terraces of the steep slope to the Neckarschlinge, where you can take a break at the Kirchheimer WeinTerrasse with a magnificent view over the Neckar valley (wine tasting on Sundays). Along the Neckar, you will encounter the sintered rocks of the Prallhang and impressive views.
