The landscape also opens up again and again in other places. Views of the Hessian Kegelspiel, towards the Rhön, the surrounding villages or up to the Ibrakuppe make this loop a fabulously varied feast for the eyes.
Bark beetles and wind breakage have left many gaps in the forest here as a result of several storms and long periods of drought since 2018. In the following years, you can observe how new trees and shrubs grow and become larger.
