The motto of the thought trail could be: "Think globally - hike locally". The location chosen for this, Grebenstein Castle Hill, is definitely the right place in terms of the history of ideas. Having just been besieged in vain by the Archbishop of Mainz in 1385, the castle became a fruit storehouse in 1540 after being used for administrative purposes in the meantime. Given this history of development, it is only natural that this path (once three separate paths) should be dedicated to thinking.
At numerous stations, you will encounter philosophical wisdom and sayings on the edges of stone benches, each reduced to a single sentence. Inspiring, stimulating, astonishing.
