Hofgeismar - Kelze

Mostly on paved farm tracks, the trail leads past the Kelzer Teiche nature reserve (popular breeding and resting places for birds and therefore ideal for birdwatching), the Messhagen nature reserve and the new flowering area in Kelze, which was created as a cooperative project by the town of Hofgeismar with numerous stakeholders in 2019. This is now a special habitat for insects and other animal and plant species. An XL insect house that hums and buzzes invites you to observe. The circular trail also leads to the forest swimming pool in Kelze, which is a popular place for swimming in nature during the summer months.
