The 8 km long trail leads through forests and meadows around Oberellenbach with the highest point on the Lützelstrauch at 340 m above sea level. At the center of the trail is the mining trail, which leads past two barite mines and a copper mine. Gypsum mining is visible from afar. The "Great Lake", which you walk past, is also a gypsum mining pit.
The Lützelstrauch offers a magnificent view of the region. Numerous benches in exposed locations and two seating areas with tables invite you to take a break.
The trail is marked with a logo and arrows and can be walked in both directions. The path is mostly natural, so sturdy shoes and sure-footedness are an advantage.
