Grenzsteinpfad Naumburg Hessen

A leaflet with explanations of the individual boundary stones is available from the tourist information office. Starting at the hiking parking lot, the trail leads west through beech forest and some coniferous forest until it turns south at the Bubenkreuz. The Bubenkreuz (boundary stone no. 1) is probably the oldest boundary stone. It is grooved on one side with a repeated cross and stands at the top of the pass between Naumburg and Netze. There are a total of 20 stones to hike as well as numerous intermediate stones.

Up to the Herrensteine, the trail follows the Diemelwanderweg and the N5 through a varied forest. The impressive boundary stones along the way can be seen time and again. On longer sections, they are interrupted by so-called runner stones, which mark the border without being expensively decorated with symbols. A seating area at the Herrensteinen allows you to take a break before continuing along the path and crossing the boundary stones near the Brüderbuche (an unusual 5-trunked beech tree, a natural monument). There you can take another break at 2 seating groups. At stone 16, you can shorten the path towards the parking lot.
