This path is lined with tall trees in the orchards. It runs parallel to ancient Celtic and Roman trade routes.
Imposing tall trunks dominate the landscape of the orchards between Sasbach and Endingen in spring. Of course, the hike through the Nordkaiserstuhl is also worthwhile in other seasons.
For history buffs, it should be noted that the trail runs parallel to ancient Celtic and Roman trade routes and settlements, remains of which can be admired both on the Limberg and near Riegel. The Kirschbaumpfad also takes you past the "Gestühl" district near Leiselheim, which presumably gives the Kaiserstuhl its name.
