The starting point of the approximately 65 km long road bike tour is the harbor in Merzig. It continues along the Saar through the Saar Loop via Mettlach to Taben-Rodt in Rhineland-Palatinate. From there, a climb leads towards Orscholz to the Cloef, the viewpoint of the Saar Loop. The route continues along the route of stage 1 of the Deutschland Tour 2023 via Nohn to Wellingen. Passing the sculpture symposium Steine an der Grenze, the route returns to the starting point in Merzig.
