Children are looking for variety and adventure when hiking. They will find both on the Albsteig trail. With a total length of 13 kilometers, the circular tour is easy to hike with children. The first stage already gives you an idea of what awaits you on the following stages of the Albsteig Schwarzwald. The varied circular tour leads from the large Albsteig portal through quiet forest paths to Schachen. The steep descent to Studingersteg in the middle of the Alb gorge is well worth the effort. Over the years, the forces of nature have washed huge boulders into the gorge. Again and again you can enjoy beautiful views of the valley, for example from the Peterskanzel. A narrow path then leads along the upper edge of the gorge towards Tiefenstein to the village of Haide, where you leave the Albsteig trail. From there, the circular route leads back to the starting point in Albbruck via the Hochrhein Höhenweg on the opposite side of the Alb.
