Gevore - Tour

On the trail of the noble lords of Gevore, who resided between the Veischede and Lenne rivers from the 20th century onwards, this technically easy tour passes by the ruins of their once proud castles. Where noble knights rode their horses along the paths of the Sauerland in the dark Middle Ages, today well-equipped mountain bikers also explore the diverse landscape in the western part of the low mountain range.
The Gevore circuit does not miss any of the highlights in the area: The ruins of Peperburg near Grevenbrück, the castle Bilstein, the castle Schnellenberg, and the observation tower Hohe Bracht are among the most important stops of the moderately challenging tour.
Starting points are either the settlement Apollmicke near Olpe or in Lennestadt-Grevenbrück. Thanks to the robust ground, the paths are easily accessible in every season.
