Bike Arena Sauerland - To the Bat Tunnel

After starting in Schmallenberg, the tour leads undulating through the Haverland to Eslohe. From there, relaxed cycling on the SauerlandRadring is the order of the day. After a few kilometers, you reach the namesake of this tour, the 689m long bat tunnel. Here it's better to put on a windbreaker for a moment, because the temperature drops to around 10 degrees here. The journey continues on the cycling ring to Fretter. There, it's time to sweat again, as it goes uphill for some time. After Oedingen, you can recover again in a winding descent. However, after Oedingen comes the next challenge. It gets very steep until Brenschede. By Werpe, you should have recovered again. Although your legs are already quite heavy, fighting spirit is needed once again. The climb up to the wind turbine is not as long, but it offers a significant percentage of elevation. Once the summit is reached, you can enjoy a great view of the Lennetal in the rapid descent. Now one of the highlights of the tour follows, the enchanting Uentroptal, which accompanies us almost without any incline up to above Fleckenberg. We race into the town in free fall. Here, caution is advised! At the junction with the federal road, you must sharply turn right into the Latrop Valley, which we follow for a few kilometers. After a short distance, the starting point Schmallenberg is in front of us again.
