Nieper Kuhlen: North Route

It starts at Vluyner Platz. This square on Niederrheinallee is the heart of the Vluyn district. Small shops and gastronomic offers invite you to stroll and enjoy.
Then it continues towards Golfplatz Nieper Kuhlen. The Golfplatz Nieper Kuhlen in Neukirchen-Vluyn has an 18-hole course, which at 6,700 meters in length is the longest golf course in Germany. For professionals and beginners, in addition to the 18-hole championship course, there is a 9-hole course, a driving range, a pitch and putting area, as well as a putting green for varied gaming pleasure. The clubhouse with gastronomy is the focal point of the facility.

The water castle Bloemersheim was first mentioned in 1406 and is one of the oldest historical buildings in the city area. The castle is still the ancestral seat of the von der Leyen family and houses the Frhr.-von-der-Leyensche estate administration Bloemersheim. The estate administration is a versatile family business. It consists mainly of agriculture, fruit growing, and forestry. The orchards, known for their apples and pears, but also strawberries, sweet cherries, blueberries, and plums, sell their products in the farm shop on Niederrheinallee in Neukirchen-Vluyn (L140). Regularly, concerts in the castle courtyard and selected cultural events take place at Bloemersheim.
