Hike A2: Hiking trail through Eyller Bruch

You start at Eyller See in a northerly direction. The complete route leads through the Kerkener Bruch landscape protection area. The area encompasses the characteristically agriculturally influenced, culturally significant marsh landscape southwest of Kerken, including the Driesbruch south of the A40, as well as the groundwater-influenced stream meadows with their location-dependent forests and grassland areas. The landscape protection area serves, among other things, the preservation of rare and endangered animal and plant species. Particularly attractive is a hike in August/September. Then the elderberry is ripe for harvest, which can be found everywhere along the wayside.
