Lenné Route

On the tour to the confluence of the Lenne, you pass by castles and palaces that provide ample opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of the region. But interesting industrial heritage products also offer an insightful glimpse into the historical development of the region. Towards the end of the route, you pass through more towns, giving cyclists an impression of the bustling life of the Ruhr area. Rest and relaxation are provided again by the last stretch of the route. Along quiet paths, away from the urban hustle and bustle, cyclists reach the confluence of the Lenne into the Ruhr. The 140-kilometer route can be extended by about 100 kilometers through several excursions, which, like the route itself, are well developed. The first half of the Lenne route mainly runs on cycle paths and quiet side streets. It is recommended to take the excellent train connection between Werdohl and Iserlohn-Letmathe, especially for families with children.
