On a length of about 10 kilometers, this walk and hiking trail leads us along the Genkel reservoir, located in the south of the town of Meinerzhagen. Always slightly above the waterline with a constant view of the reservoir, the trail leads, mostly on fairly wide forest tracks, once completely around this reservoir. Connections to the Bergischer Panorama Trail and to the circular trail of the Sauerland High Altitude Trail (We learned it from the water) are provided.
The route is accompanied by diverse informational signs of a water educational trail.
