Access path to the Rothaarsteig from Birkelbach

To get to the Rothaarsteig, we start in Birkelbach at the train station. From here, after just 500 meters, we head directly into the green of the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park. With a great view of the Eder, we hike towards the village of Röspe. We continue along the nature reserve with its numerous ponds and its extraordinary and diverse flora and fauna. The last part of the route leads us along the Schwarzbach through the picturesque Schwarzbachtal to the Rothaarsteig.
