Small courtyard, built in the early 17th century by Peter Wolff - used as a clog workshop, where a "notorious" pub was also operated in a prohibited manner. For this reason, Count von Moers filed a complaint against Peter Wolff in 1655 - Peter Altenschmidt took over the clog workshop in 1719 - later continued as a shoemaker's workshop - family-owned since then
Mission courtyard
Former courtyard of an inn with a dance hall, bakery, and stables - acquired in 1882 by the Neukirchen Mission Institute under Pastor Ludwig Doll - training center for missionaries who worked in Java and Kenya, among other places - building sold in 1982 - today the mission courtyard is bordered by the city library, an inn, and a pharmacy
High Street 9, "Mevissen Inn"
In the 18th century a farm - first mentioned in 1838 as "Kneipe Ortmann". Since it bordered directly on the church, alcohol could not be served on Sundays and public holidays - in the early 19th century a continuously operating pub, where the "community elders" met - since the early 20th century a restaurant and founding place of Neukirchen associations, including the men's choir (est. 1950) and the Neukirchen Homeland and Tourism Association (est. 1957)
High Street 13, "Evangelical Village Church"
The origins date back to the year 1230, when a pastor was already residing in the village - the originally single-aisled sacred building was built as the "new church" of the Repelen parish and gave the district its name - originally dedicated to Saint Quirinus - reformed to evangelical in 1580, later expanded with side aisles and still the sacred space of the evangelical community to this day
High Street 20a, "Oldest Blacksmith Shop in Neukirchen"
Former Trommen blacksmith shop - was the oldest blacksmith shop in Neukirchen - in family ownership from 1650 to 1891 over seven generations - used as a farmstead after the relocation of the blacksmith shop to High Street
High Street 15, "Alt Derp"
Built in the early 17th century - the oldest tavern in the village - when the authorities issued a decree in 1707 prohibiting a tavern directly at the church, it was closed and the building was used for agricultural purposes - in addition to agriculture, a freight and shipping business, which was relocated due to the village center redevelopment in the 1970s, was operated - subsequently returned to its original use as a tavern
High Street 24, "Cooper Workshop"
Built around 1720 as a farmstead - Wilhelm Brinken, a cooper in the village, used it from 1800 to 1843 for the production of barrels, tubs, buckets, and milk buckets
High Street 15i, "Old Parsonage"
Originally a farmstead - converted to a parsonage and inhabited by Pastor Andreas Bräm and his family from 1835. When he retired in 1872, his successor Pastor Ludwig Doll (1846-1883) moved in
Ludwig-Doll-Straße 4, "Mission Children's Home"
Built at the end of the 19th century - here lived the children of the missionaries who worked on behalf of the Neukirchen Mission in Java and Sumatra - the facade of the building is one of the few Art Nouveau facades in Neukirchen that has been preserved
Gartenstraße 7, "First Pharmacy"
Originally built in 1890 as a mission children's home - later the residence of the inspectors of the orphanage and mission institute - in 1921, the first pharmacy in Neukirchen was established by Adolf Schneider
Gartenstraße 13, "Mission Hall"
Built in 1888 as a venue for annual celebrations and events of the Neukirchen Mission - also used as a place for education, where, among others, Julius Stursberg, the namesake of the Neukirchen-Vluyner Gymnasium, taught - opposite the mission hall was the mission bookstore founded by Stursberg in 1883 - the building had to make way for a new construction at the beginning of the 21st century
Gartenstraße 26, "Clay House"
Residence of the missionary August Kraft, who carried out missions in East Africa, in Pokomoland on the Tana River in Kenya - Kraft built the clay house in the twenties of the last century based on his own developed "Thin Mud Brick Building Method"
Lindenstraße 39, "Goldberg House"
Residence of the naturopath and local poet (poems, books, plays) Heinrich Goldberg (1875-1958) - follower of the so-called clay pastor Felke from Repelen. He healed according to his methods
Lindenstraße 20, "Cashier's House"
Built in 1904 by the cashier W. Altenschmidt and used as the tax and finance office of the municipality - also the first community savings bank in 1909 - from 1929 to 1933, the unemployed received their money here - temporarily also used as a registry office
Lindenstraße 23, "Printing House"
Built in 1895 by Heinrich Mandel to print the mission's newsletter - in 1900, Heinrich Schlayer took over the business and produced printed materials for companies and private customers
