This path, which partly runs along the Leo Bitter path, is perfect for a relaxed tour, as it has no inclines. The route is dedicated to Leo Bitter (1913 – 1994), a graphic designer and illustrator who emigrated from the Sudetenland to Schmallenberg, where he made a name for himself as the long-time head of the tourist office and recipient of the Federal Cross of Merit. The route first goes along the L5, then meets the L3 and leads you along the lively river Latrop. At the Waidmannsruh parking lot, follow the A2 through the idyllic valley to the Kaiser Spring and hike back to the holiday resort, the romantic gold village of the Federal Republic and Europe-Silver Village of Latrop via the Leo Bittner path (A1, L4, L5). There are various options for refreshments there.
