Jogger meeting point by the river: The Sieg Arena

The completely flat running route along the Sieg river has long since become the highlight for runners of all performance and age groups. The asphalted 2.2 kilometer long circuit (markings every 100 meters and signs every 500 meters) between Siegener Eintracht and Eiserfeld is suitable for beginners and competitive runners alike. In summer, you run on the urban route along many green trees almost like in a forest area - in addition, the Sieg, whose Celtic name incidentally means "fast river," makes the circuit especially attractive. The great special feature: Thanks to a runner initiative, the circuit is completely illuminated in the dark season in the evening hours and even cleared of snow and ice in winter. Whether early in the morning or late at night, you are rarely alone on this running route - those who want to will find a running partner here at any time.
