Brilon-Wald (Bw4)

The starting point is the church square - from here, turn right onto the church path, after about 360 m turn left onto a footpath with a railway underpass down to the B251.

After crossing the B 251, keep left parallel to the federal road until you reach the intersection B251/Friedrich-Köster Weg after about 450 m. At this intersection, turn left and after about 30 m at the fork immediately turn right uphill. The path makes a large curve past the Hammerkopf (542 m above sea level) into the Bibertal (525 m above sea level) and in another large curve over the Habuche into the Laupketal. Upon reaching the intersection, follow the Laubkebach uphill to the second intersection.

Here, the hiking trail continues to the right between the Hüttenkopf (681 m above sea level) and the Fohrenkopf (704 m above sea level) behind the Brilon-Wald clinic on the left. At the end of the forest path, follow the BW4 to the left to the clinic; pass downhill over the B 251 to the monastery, past the chapel through the underpass. After crossing the L 743, walk about 120 m on the church path, then turn left uphill, along the forest path (approx. 1.3 km) behind the houses of the church path back to the starting point.
