Cycle path Sieg - Stage 2: City Blankenberg to Eitorf

On the cycle path towards Eitorf, after a short ride along the Sieg, you reach the town of Merten. Here it is worth taking a detour to the park of Schloss Merten. Not far from the castle, directly on the Sieg, is the family-friendly campsite Happach. To reach the campsite, leave the Sieg cycle path in Merten and continue along the L333 towards Eitorf. There is a continuous cycle path along the road. Here, too, canoeists can launch their boats at an officially marked spot and even stay overnight in a camping barrel after a short paddle tour.
You have to pedal hard between Merten and Lützgenauel to reach the small town, as there is a slight incline on the way. Upon arrival in Eitorf, opposite the district of Kelters at junction 15 around Brückenstraße, there are several spots inviting you to swim. In the middle of the town center and just a few meters from the Sieg cycle path, there is a beautiful playground in Siegpark for children. For very sporty kids, Eitorf has a great new skate bowl and a basketball court at Siegauenplatz.
The 2-kilometer adventure trail with "Kiki Eichhorn" for children in kindergarten and primary school age is located on Keltersberg, just a few meters from the town center of Eitorf. Numerous stations such as animal long jump and barefoot path invite you to participate. A bee educational trail and a forest educational trail with many information stations complete the very diverse offering in Eitorf.
