The most beautiful road bike passes in the Sauerland - The Sorpe Valley

On the over 14 kilometers long route through the Sorpe Valley to Altastenberg, almost 400 meters in altitude have to be mastered. Initially barely noticeable uphill, the narrow road winds through small romantic villages. From Rehsiepen, the road becomes steeper and more winding.
At the small picture, a wayside shrine at the height of the hiking parking lot, turn right towards Altastenberg. After the left turn, the landscape opens up and great views are possible. A few more meters in altitude through Altastenberg and the highest point is reached. From here, it is not far to the highest point in North Rhine-Westphalia that can be reached by racing bike - the Kahler Asten. If you still have energy, you can extend the climb once again.
