Bad Laasphe for athletic fairytale enthusiasts

A tour for sporty hiking enthusiasts who enjoy great panoramic views and exciting legends awaits in Bad Laasphe around the Butzeberg. The recommended starting point is from the parking lot at the mini golf course at the Teufelskanzel - from here, the circular route is approximately 8 km long. The route largely follows the Legends and Myths Trail, one of the hiking highlights on either side of the Rothaarsteig. Shortly after starting the tour, which is marked with a white circle with a wave on a black background, there is a great view of the stately ancestral castle of the Counts of Wittgenstein. Along the way, there are signs that highlight the legends and myths of the region, introducing the wild hunter or flying witches.
After about 5 km, the circular tour leaves the Legends and Myths Trail and turns right onto the path marked with an X, which is followed until reaching the height of Krautkopf and offers fabulous views in good weather. At the height of Krautkopf, turn right to go around the Weibersberg, passing by the impressive rock formation "Teufelskanzel". From here, it's a leisurely descent back to the parking lot.
