Sauerland Cycle Ring with Hennesee Loop

Finnentrop, Eslohe, Schmallenberg, and Lennestadt are the four main towns located along the SauerlandRadring. The 40 km long Hennesee loop connects the SauerlandRadring through the picturesque Wennetal down to the Ruhrtal, the district town of Meschede, and the Hennesee reservoir. There is no fixed starting or ending point, you can "board" at any point - similar to a train.
Currently, the Hennesee loop is still signposted with the logo of the SauerlandRadring - North Loop.
Witnesses of the railway past are still partly preserved next to the track: in addition to old signal systems, buffer stops, and wagons, old steam locomotives can also be admired. And as a special highlight, the famous Kückelheimer "Bat Tunnel" awaits cyclists.
