Road bike tour Schermbeck - 50 km route

The tour makes you happy all around: the body gets enough exercise, the soul enjoys the beautiful landscape rushing by in the corner of the eye, and there are plenty of opportunities for a relaxing break at the various eateries along the way. It starts at the parking lot behind the town hall in Schermbeck at Weseler Str. 2.
The route leads through Mittelstr and along Erlerstraße and Worthuesweg directly into Lichtenhagen and from there into Dämmerwald. A first highlight for nature lovers. Via paved but lightly trafficked roads – all suitable for road bikes and extensively tested – the route passes through the Schermbeck district of Dämmerwald and Weselerwald towards Voshövel and past the Otto-Pankok-Haus – a welcome break for culture lovers. Then it goes through Brünen and continues towards Rhede. Along the Bocholter Aa, the route leads directly to the Pröbstingsee – a wonderful cooling off spot in summer. The adjacent climbing park is a nice attraction of the facility. We leave the Pröbstingsee behind us and head towards Raesfeld. The route repeatedly leads over beautiful cycle paths, which, thanks to the beautiful views, make us forget the kilometers we have already covered. The destination is Erle. It takes a little over five hours to complete the 50-kilometer route.
