Easy hiking trail with a view of the Okertalsperre.
Parking spaces are located in front of and behind the pre-dam, directly on the B 498.
You start the easy winter hike at the pre-dam of the Okertalsperre. After crossing the pre-dam, continue to the left and follow the wide winter hiking trail, above the shore of the Okertalsperre for about 8 km, until you reach the main dam of the Okertalsperre. By crossing the dam, you get an impression of the impressive structure and can enjoy a magnificent view of the Okertal and the surrounding mountains from here.
