The 'Soldanelle' hiking route connects the municipality of Philippsreut with the national park. Via the villages of Mitterfirmiansreut and Hinterfirmiansreut, it first leads to the Hammerklause and on to Finsterau. From there, the 'Soldanelle' leads down into the Reschbach valley before the varied ascent to the Lusen begins. The trail runs alongside the Schwarzbach stream until it is crossed on stepping stones and the Markfleckl at the German-Czech border is reached. The last few meters to the Lusen summit lead over the imposing sea of boulders.
