The Stolzenberger Ritterblick is certified by the German Hiking Institute with the hiking seal for premium trails.
The trail can be accessed from the official portal in the street "Am Keilchen" on the edge of the Bad Soden district or via a feeder trail directly from the large parking lot at the entrance to Bad Soden (Thermalstraße). The easy Spessart trail impresses with ever-changing, surprisingly wide views over the Salz and Kinzig valleys, soft meadow paths and enchanted forest trails. The easy circular trail is supplemented by exciting and informative adventure stations for the whole family, so that the hike also offers plenty of variety for children.
After starting at the "Am Keilchen" portal, the wide Salztal valley opens up after a few meters with a beautiful view over the villages in the so-called Huttengrund. At Streufingskopf, the route follows narrow paths to a bridge and a quiet seating area. From the Dr. Aloys Fink Hut, the hiking trail leads past the Fliegendenkmal monument at the Hohes Kreuz and along the magnificent Nussallee towards the ruins of Stolzenberg Castle. Here, it is definitely worth making a detour to the castle keep, from whose viewing platform you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Kinzig valley.
The route leads back around the Stolzenberg, past the church of St. Laurentius and along a path with old hornbeams back to the portal. The route can be started at any time from the parking lot at the entrance to Bad Soden (feeder path Pacificus-Sprudel, Alter Friedhof and Kreuzweg to the Stolzenberg castle ruins) or the old town of Bad Soden.

Stolzenberger Ritterblick adventure trail
Together with Hanns, the farmer's son, and Irmi, the daughter of the lord of Stolzenberg Castle, adults and children can experience daring adventures on the way to becoming a knight on the "Stolzenberger Ritterblick" trail. There are always exciting interactive stations along the way. Here, the two little inhabitants of Stolzenberg Castle explain their different skills about the land, nature and knighthood to each other and encourage children to join in. Children learn how to survive in nature in a playful way, discover old crafts and medieval life before the ceremonial knighting takes place at the castle ruins. At the end, the newly knighted knights look out from the castle keep over the roofs of the town, the Kinzig valley and the heights of the Spessart - always on their guard against Spessart robbers...
