The 4.8-kilometre loop begins with a beautiful view of the Stolzenberg castle ruins opposite, the church of St. Laurentius and the eastern Kinzig valley. In Tannenkopfstraße, the route then climbs steeply up a serpentine path, which is part of the historic "Bertaweg". The route then follows narrow paths through the magnificent beech and mixed forest of the Reutzenberg to the Wendelinushütte. The loop through the Bad Soden city forest leads past the Mittelruh, a stream with a bench in one of the gorges of the city forest, and past primeval faults in the deer park. These widely branching "cracks" in the terrain facilitate the ascent of Bad Soden's healing springs from the depths of the rock strata. In the extension of such a fault, the so-called "Schillergraben" at the Wildpark (information board), the exceptionally salty and carbonated Bad Soden brine springs were drilled.
The circular hiking trail has been certified with the German hiking seal for premium trails.
