Geopark-Pfad "Pfad der Vielfalt"

The trail of diversity is located in the middle of Fischbachtal - between Niedernhausen, Billings and Nonrod. In an easy loop, the nature trail leads to six informative boards that make the cultural landscape of the Fischbach Valley with its diverse habitats easy to understand in a very small space. It passes valuable orchards, the Herrensee wetland, meadows and fields and through beautiful mixed forest.

Way description: From the parking lot, the tour starts to the left in the direction of the sheepfold. After around 100 m, you will see the first Geo-Nature Park information board at the sheepfold. The tour initially leads slightly uphill through open countryside. There are always fascinating views of Fischbachtal-Niedernhausen with the striking Lichtenberg Castle. The trail continues uphill through mixed forest to the quarry lake, which impresses with its crystal-clear, blue water. After the lake, the trail leads slightly downhill again until it heads back to the starting point through meadows and pastures.
