The Breitenstein is a popular summit in the Bavarian Alps in both summer and winter. The beautiful and ideally inclined slopes and tracks make the Breitenstein an excellent ski touring mountain. However, good snow conditions are a prerequisite, due to some stumbling hazards in the forest and large boulders on the summit slope.
Please note that nature is particularly sensitive in the cold season. Please keep to the specified ascents and descents so as not to destroy the protected areas of flora and fauna.
