Eichenfirst-Runde

Along the Eichenfirst loop, you will come across many giant trees or what is left of them.

The starting point is the parking lot at the Stadtreitereiche, directly on the B 464 between Dettenhausen and Walddorfhäslach.

We follow the gravel forest path southwards and soon reach the "Eisenbachhain" nature reserve with its giant trees or what is left of them. At the mighty castle oak, we follow the signs to the right. The path then leads us along an avenue of lime trees, some of which are mighty old trees and some of which are newly planted.

The rest and barbecue area at the Jägersitz invites you to take a long break. Continue north until you reach the Reichenbach stream, which you follow for a short distance until you return to the starting point at the Stadtreitereiche.

Alternatively, the following starting points can also be chosen for the Eichenfirst loop:

Parking lot Hofmeistersteige (directly on the B 464 between Walddorfhäslach and Dettenhausen; from the parking lot you have to cross the B 464)

Parking lot Steinbrennershaus (directly on the B 464; coming from Walddorfhäslach directly to the left at the edge of the forest)

Parking lot Rotes Tor (directly on the Einsiedler Sträßchen)
