This varied tour up Mössingen's local mountain starts halfway up the Farrenberg, circling its plateau and combining great views with plenty of scenic enjoyment. The tour ends with a visit to the few remains of the former Andeck Castle.
The Farrenberg is a witness mountain that has been separated from the Swabian Alb plateau by erosion. Its shape and level are reminiscent of an aircraft carrier and you can actually see recreational aircraft taking off and landing there regularly. Barbecue areas and viewpoints also make it a popular hiking destination.</p
