Duathlonschleife

The course largely corresponds to the duathlon course. It is mostly run on forestry tracks and forest paths. Highlights are the downhill sections at Canyon and Ahler Pfädchen. After the start in Bad Soden, the tour leads past Hutten Castle and below the Stolzenberg ruins to the Kinzigtal reservoir. After bypassing the Kinzigtal reservoir and crossing the Kinzigtal valley on the eastern bank, the route now leads steadily uphill above the Happelsgraben. Shortly before the village of Seidenroth, the route joins an undulating forest path that leads to Jägerheiligen. This is where the entrance to the canyon begins. A descent that will make the heart of any ambitious mountain biker beat faster. First flowing, then interspersed with roots and stones, it challenges the mountain biker. At the end of the descent, you can enjoy a brief view of the Kinzig valley before the forest picks you up again. A forest path leading slightly uphill takes you to the Ahler Pfädchen. The route leads to Ahl, first along a hollow path interspersed with roots and loose stones and later on a forest path. The R3 long-distance cycle path takes you from Ahl back to the starting point of the tour in Bad Soden.
