Bike & Hike uff'm Hotzewald

A section through the wild and romantic Murg Valley with its deeply carved rock tunnels and gorge-like sections. With an option for the Hotzenwald-Wuhren circular hike.

From the starting point at Bad Säckingen train station, you cycle to the eastern Murg. The Murgtalstraße, a steadily ascending dirt road, starts there. Cycle up this road to the Thimos-Oberhof junction. From Oberhof, the route follows the main road via Hänner to Hottingen.

In Hottingen, it is worth visiting the Energy Museum and the hydroelectric power station. A tip: leave your bikes at the museum or at the power station and take a hike to the Hotzenwald-Wuhren. You won't regret it! (Hiking time: approx. 1 hour)
