Already in the late 18th century, silver-bearing ore was mined on the Silberberg. As a special feature of its historical use, today there are calcareous grasslands on the Silberberg, where gentians and orchids thrive. The Silberberg was already placed under nature protection in 1937. Due to its special natural beauty, we kindly ask for careful hiking on this TERRA.track. Via a path from the hiking parking lot Lorenkamp, we reach the approximately 6 km long hiking suggestion.
