Monastery path - a spiritual hiking trail from the Königsmünster Abbey to the Bestwig Mountain Monas

The Spiritual Pilgrimage from Monastery to Monastery connects the Benedictine Abbey Königsmünster in Meschede and the Mountain Monastery Bestwig of the Sisters of Saint Mary Magdalene Postel. Both monasteries are located about 15 kilometers apart, which is a day's journey from each other.

The path consists of two routes. The north route passes through Eversberg and Föckinghausen. The route goes over two mountains with 100 to 200 meters of altitude each, but the paths are well developed. Nine impulses invite reflection on one's own life path. They deal with topics such as mobility, preservation of creation, taking responsibility, encountering new and foreign things, or our dreams and visions. Ideally, both routes can be combined with an overnight stay in one of the monasteries and attending the local services or prayer times in the morning and evening.
