Rundwanderweg Sperlhammer

On cobbler's pony through the Kötztinger meadows: Passing below the imposing fortified church, you leave the town to the west against the course of the Weißer Regen (refreshment stop: Hexenhäusl). Past the mill wheel of the river nature trail, after romantic river meanders and across extensive meadows at the Herrenweiher pond, the path leads you first to a large field cross. From there, you follow a meadow path and along a weir to the former ironworks site of Sperlhammer. There is an impressive manor house there. After approx. 1 km on agricultural paths and through meadows, you reach the nearby village of Beckendorf (refreshments: Cafe-Restaurant Kauer; Zur Ziegelhütte) with its beautiful village green and village chapel. From there, the path leads you back to the town center along the sidewalk.
