Vom Eck zur Kötztinger Hütte

This snowshoe hike runs along a section of the GOLDSTEIG award-winning hiking trail and European long-distance hiking trail, making it a very special highlight. The challenging, very beautiful hike begins at the parking lot on the corner. You immerse yourself in a dreamlike snow-covered mountain world with a wonderful panorama. After an hour, you will reach the summit of the large Riedelstein. There, the natural monument "Waldschmidtdenkmal", which has been erected in honor of the local writer "Maximilian Waldschmidt" and is clad in a white winter dress, will delight you. Via the Rauchröhren and the Steinbühler Gesenke you reach the Kötztinger Hütte (limited opening hours in winter!) after about three hours, which invites you to stop for refreshments. After a well-earned refreshment, the return hike to the Eck follows the same route.
