Hikers coming from Hohenbogen and heading towards Schönbuchen can make a detour to Grafenwiesen shortly after the ascent from the Watzlsteg DB stop. Grafenwiesen is also very suitable as a stage stop. The next day, you can join the main Goldsteig route again via a short access route to Reitenberg.
