Waldlerweg

From the starting point at the village square in Pemfling, follow Max-Reger-Straße in the direction of the B22. Before the cemetery, we turn left onto a narrower tarred road. We follow this road slightly uphill, past the Calvary, where we can make a detour to the chapel. On the benches next to the hiking trail, we can enjoy the wonderful view over Pemfling with the towering, baroque church tower of St. Andreas. We continue along a gravel path until we turn left. After the little wood, we turn right. After approx. 400 m, we reach the road between Pemfling and Rackelsdorf, which we follow for a short distance in the direction of Rackelsdorf. Before a pond, we turn right onto a gravel path. We keep left at the next turning on this path. We soon come to Pfarrholz through species-rich hedges. We stay on the forest road until the markings point us to the left. We now continue slightly uphill on old forest paths through a mixed deciduous forest interspersed with a few rocks. We then come to a well-maintained forest road, which is a little more difficult to walk on at first due to its gradient. The view at the Bärenhöhle cave into the Regental valley and even as far as the Arber in good weather makes up for the previous efforts. We return along the same route or use the connection to Grafenkirchen (refreshments available; opening times Tue, Fri, Sun).
