Festspiel-Radweg

The Festival Cycle Route leads through the scenic and hilly Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, which rewards cyclists with fantastic views of the high altitudes of the Bavarian Forest. The route leads through the varied landscape on forest roads with little traffic and well-signposted cycle paths. The cycle route takes its name from the unique festivals in the district of Cham, such as the Burghofspiele at Falkenstein Castle or the theater at the castle in Neuhaus near Schorndorf. Over a total length of 27 km, the festival cycle path leads from Cham via Schorndorf and Michelsneukirchen to Falkenstein through a hilly forest and meadow landscape. Magnificent viewpoints along the cycle route, informative information boards, numerous rest stops and, last but not least, the Regensburg-Falkenstein cycle bus at the weekend give this cycle tour its unique character.
