Holdergrund-Rundweg

The Holdergrund circular trail not only provides information about black and red deer, but also allows you to observe them "live". Along the way, there is a very idyllic section of the trail along the Holderbach stream and a total of three barbecue facilities, starting at the nature park sign at the Holdergrund hiking parking lot. First take the tarred path (Alte Dielbacher Straße) at the Holderbach 4 barbecue area in a south-easterly direction for 250 m uphill to the junction to the game reserve on the half-left. The gravel forest path leads you directly to the enclosures. After one kilometer, you will reach the idyllic barbecue area by the Holderbach stream, which has a barbecue area, numerous tables and benches and a shelter.

Here you will also find the first information board on wild boar. Now cross the stream directly at the corner of the wild boar enclosure and join hiking trail no. 51. This leads in a north-westerly direction along the right-hand side of the stream - seen in the direction of flow - back to the valley-side part of the wild boar enclosure. After two more information boards and a bridge over the deer enclosure, you will reach the Holdergrund rainwater overflow basin. Here you will find another shelter with barbecue facilities. Now follow the "yellow V" signposts for another 600 m along the stream until the path leads over a bridge, sometimes steeply uphill, back onto the tarred road. From there, it is another 500 m uphill back to the starting point.</p
