The cycle route begins at the Schleuppner inn on the main road. The tour runs mostly on asphalted farm tracks and forest roads, on roadside cycle paths and occasionally on roads with little traffic. Two major climbs from Heiligenstadt to Stücht and Laibarös to Herzogenreuth
